The number of local blogs are really growing on the Outer Banks. A couple are not what I would consider traditional blogs but they do offer RSS and Atom Feeds which makes it easy to subscribe to:
Kitty Hawk Cyclists - A yahoo group that likes pain. If you want to join, show up at the Food Lion Shopping Center in Southern Shores at 5:30 AM Monday through Friday. Serious riders welcome on Saturday.
Outer Banks Blog News for Real Estate - Michael Lancsek is a local Realtor with a new Real Estate blog.
Outer Banks Bloggers - Another Yahoo Group created by Bob Muller to keep up with the local bloggers.
Kill Devil Love - This is a pre wedding blog from Mike and Melissa who are planning on getting married on the Outer Banks. (Thanks to Paula the Surf Mom) The date is September 27th 2007 which is not bad time to get married. My wife and I tied the knot on the 29th of September way back when. A little know fact - I have been the officiant for two weddings. I married a couple last year on the beach in front of the Sea Ranch Motel in Kill Devil Hills. Good luck to Mike and Melissa.
As for the existing blogs - Paula the Queen of the Surf Pirates has a new look which is really groovy. Our local movie star from Bill's OBX Beach Life might be on the big screen soon - not for his forward flip but for his acting skills in the film starring Richard Gere called Nights of Rodanthe. I have a feeling that Outer Banks Republic will be back on the blog scene in the near future. The author threatened to delete his blog but someone with that much talent should not let it go to waste. And finally, Bob Muller - former mayor of Nags Head continues to post excellent content. If you really want to learn what is going on in the Outer Banks, Bob is the man.
