Traffic Cams on the Outer Banks

I found a great tool on the Village Realty Blog - a link to traffic cams from the Virginia Border to the Outer Banks.  The picture to the left was from Powell's Point traffic cam looking across the Wright Memorial Bridge towards Kitty Hawk.  I have seen the cameras at many intersections but did not know they were live for the public.  If you are coming to the Outer Banks, view the traffic a week before you arrive.  Saturday and Sunday are our busy days with 150,000+ people coming to the beach and 150,000+ leaving the beach.  Try arriving before 10:00 on check in day and spend your time on the beach instead of waiting in traffic.  Here is the NC Link - click on the red icon next to Rock Mount and the map will zoom into northeastern North Carolina.
